Who operates this service

ShortTranscript is operated by 深圳织流科技有限公司, China. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with TikTok or Instagram.

What you can submit

Submit videos you own, that are publicly accessible, or that you are authorized to process. You are responsible for your rights to use the source and resulting text. Private or login-protected content, photos and Instagram Stories are not supported. This service does not offer video downloading, watermark removal or translation.

Transcription and accuracy

Automated transcripts can contain errors. Review names, figures and important statements against the original before relying on the text. We do not promise identical accuracy across languages or recording conditions. Failed or empty transcripts do not consume a successful free attempt or paid transcript credits.

Free allowance and credit packs

Free use includes 3 successful transcripts per UTC day, each up to 5 minutes, subject to the disclosed trial budget. The Starter pack costs $9.99 for 200 credits and does not renew automatically. Credits are valid for 12 months. Each paid transcript uses one credit per started 5 minutes.

We display your quote before processing. Credits are reserved, then charged on delivery or released on failure. Paid subtitle and document exports are tied to each task. Upgrading a free task costs 1 credit once, covering SRT, VTT and DOCX.

Refund policy

Within 14 days of purchase, a completely unused pack qualifies for a full refund. A partly used pack qualifies for a proportional refund of the unused credits. Contact support to request a review. Unusually high failure rates may need manual investigation before refunding. Refunded credits and associated paid permissions may be revoked.

Applicable consumer rights and payment-provider requirements take precedence. Consent to immediate digital delivery does not waive non-excludable rights.

Your account and data

Keep your credentials secure. Guests access results using their browser session; clearing cookies or changing browsers loses access. Guest transcripts expire after 7 days. Signing in preserves current guest tasks and does not create a fresh daily allowance. See the privacy policy for retention and deletion.

Service availability

Platform restrictions and provider outages can prevent processing. We show an explicit failure reason where possible. Published processing limits apply at submission; we do not charge for a valid transcript that was not delivered.
